Kick-Off Event at the J.W. Marriot Starr Pass & Resort held in Tucson, AZ November 19-21, 2024.
The 7 Generations CoE First Leadership Academy launched in November of 2024 in Tucson, AZ. The first cohort turned out to be all women from across the U.S. To learn more about each of them click here.
The target audience for our first cohort was emerging behavioral health professionals (licensed or not) with 1-2 years’ experience in the field.
The 3 day in person event was structured to provide applicants with an experience that included the following components:
KINSHIP: Self-Actualization via Connections, Competency & Reflection
INTROSPECTION: Enlightenment by Understanding Your Leadership Style & Assessing Intergenerational Teachings
TRANSFORMATION: A Gathering of Elders and Knowledge Keepers to Share Wisdom & Evoke Vocation
The women bonded by sharing their stories in a safe and affirming environment that was infused with blessings and smudging ceremonies to ground their experience and more importantly to cleanse, purify, and connect with the spirit world.
They also had an opportunity to identify their individual leadership strengths, and had access to knowledge keepers and elders to connect and experience preservation of history and culture.
