The goal of the 7 Generations Behavioral Health Center of Excellence training and technical assistance program is to increase the number of well-trained, culturally-responsive behavioral health providers across the nation skilled in reaching, engaging and retaining tribal community members in behavioral health services.
Philosophy
The 7 Generations training and technical assistance program offers an expansive definition of behavioral health in which tribal knowledge and practices are centered, collective resilience is celebrated, traditional healing is fostered, and colonial legacies are challenged.
We strive to embrace holistic models of behavioral health, emphasize quality, honor local knowledge and expertise, and foster long lasting, community-driven transformations.
